Favourite Animal? My Two Cats

My Story

I was born and raised in Brazil, where I completed my veterinary degree at Sao Paulo State University in 2009. My first year after graduation was spent in an intensive training program for professional enhancement in small animal internal medicine at Rio Preto University in Brazil.

After that, I worked for 4 years in a busy 24 hours emergency hospital where I obtained a high volume of experience in a variety of cases treating cats and dogs. In my last year living in Brazil, I worked in a small practice discovering my passion for a more personal work style, being able to learn more about patients and clients. During this time, I also had the chance to engage in the specialization course in radiology at the Veterinary Institute of Image in Sao Paulo.

In 2016, I moved to Canada with my husband and our two cats. I had to start over, from learning a new language to finally getting my licence in North America during the pandemic in March 2021. Throughout this process, for almost 4 years, I had the opportunity to work as a veterinarian technician and learn more about small animal practice in Canada. I was grateful to join the Rosedale Moore Park Vet Clinic in early 2022 and I've been so thankful for the warm reception I have received from the community and staff.

Also in 2021, I had a wonderful time in Costa Rica participating in a surgical and anesthesia training program within the non-profit organization Vida Volunteer that helps local shelter animals.

Coming from one of the richest countries in biodiversity, it is no surprise that I'm a big nature lover. I like to spend my spare time outdoors exploring new places hiking, cycling and especially traveling.
